Welcome to this gathering at Lugarno Peakhurst Uniting church on Sunday 25th of February 2024. Today is the second Sunday of Lent. Lent is a reflective season – that has an opportunity to go deep within ourselves and focuses on our relationship with God and with others. The forty days of Lent reminds us of the forty days that Jesus spent in the desert following his baptism, pondering who he was and what he was to do. So, 40 is a really significant number in the stories of faith. I invite you to reflect upon the words of God and be encouraged to be a part of Journey toward the cross and victory and glory of Christ.
