Welcome to this gathering at Lugarno-Peakhurst Uniting Church, whether you are here in person or online on Sunday 17 March 2024. Today is the fifth Sunday in Lent. The major focus in the Scripture Reading is on the last week of Jesus’ ministry on earth prior to the crucifixion. Amongst a number of things that Jesus’ dying on the Cross achieved, the most vital was that sinners, such as ourselves, could be forgiven of our sin and receive Jesus into their lives both now and into eternity.
