Will Faith Continue to Run Deep?
Judges 2:6-16 & Deuteronomy 6:1-12
This Sunday is the first Sunday of Lent – the Christian season of preparation before Easter like Advent before Christmas. Lent is a time to think about God, Jesus Christ and learn more about what it means to follow in God’s ways. Lent is also a time of journeying with Jesus towards Jerusalem but also deep within ourselves to strengthen our faith. The journey may bring experiences that stretch and challenge, or times that frustrate and make us stumble. There are always choices to be made.
During Lent, we may take time to meditate the Scripture and reflect on our spiritual lives. Furthermore, we are going to have a church wide study series – Faith Runs Deep. The Faith Runs Deep is a 6-week series exploring the landscape of faith in Australia throughout our history and today. It unearths remarkable stories of faith and shares stories of people who have left an imprint on our culture. Through the series we will look at the impact of the Gospel message and how we can participate in God’s mission of passing faith on. IL-WOONG.
