Luke 2:1-12 and 15-20The Nativity Story

In the story of Christmas, there were shepherds and sheep; the host of angels, Mary and Joseph, some animals, and the wise men who travelled from afar. I was wondering how this scene at the manger changed the lives of the characters; how their life was different after that; what these people were like, saying, when they were seventy years of age.

I can imagine the shepherd at seventy kept telling everyone about that significant night they experienced; the wise men at age seventy being very different than they had been, they told one simple story of Christmas over and over; Joseph being honoured by the task of raising a child who was wiser than anyone he had ever known; and Mary had a deep abiding peace, and at the same time she was not at all afraid to speak her convictions.

Of course, there was the little baby Jesus who grew up to be a man and died on the cross. He died to set us free from sin. That was not the end but he rose again to give us eternal life, for us to have life and have it in full.

Today I want you to see a little of the manger for yourself; to know how it changes your lives. I want you to be the one to see the star, the host of angels, the wise men, Mary and Joseph; and mostly to be the one to see the baby in a manger. My prayer is that you may give your heart to Jesus so Christmas really starts in you, at your home and your neighbourhood, Amen.  IL-WOONG.
