The Least, the Last and the LostMatthew 25:31-45

Today we’re going to explore how faith will run deep as we bring the Gospel to our world by continuing the mission of Jesus to the least, the last and the lost. Christian faith has often motivated people to make remarkable sacrifices for others. For example: founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, John Flynn, was an outback preacher who saw a need for practical medical help for those living in the bush. His faith motivated him to find a solution, bringing about incredible innovations and inventions that served wider purposes than those he had started out with. John Flynn’s story is just one of thousands in this nation where people of faith have decided to use their life and resources to aid others.

His teaching in Matthew 25:31-45, Jesus was teaching about last days and the separation between the goats and the sheep – those who will receive the inheritance and remain with Jesus. Jesus distinguishes them based on their love in action and attention to the least, the last, and the lost. Jesus declares that when we care – we directly care, clothe, welcome, feed and visit Jesus. The intimate relationship between our love of God and our love of our neighbour cannot be missed. Jesus is making these two things inseparable – like cloth woven together. We cannot truly be a disciple of Jesus without this loving action. IL-WOONG.

Our Mission is to
Connect with people in Jesus;
Build each other up in faith; and to
Become Like Jesus.
