Welcome to this gathering here at Lugarno Peakhurst Uniting church on Sunday, 24th of August 2025. “This is the day that the Lord has made – let us rejoice and be glad in it.” These joyful words from Psalm 118 were written in the midst of hardship – not ease. The psalmist wasn’t rejoicing because life was easy, but because God was still faithful. And that’s why we gather today – not because everything is perfect, but because God is. He is gracious, He is present, and He gives us every reason to rejoice.
