Welcome to this gathering here at Lugarno Peakhurst Uniting church on Sunday, 17th of August 2025. Today’s message takes us to one of the most intense and challenging moments in Jesus’ teaching, found in Luke 12. His words push us to see beyond the familiar image of Jesus as only a peacemaker and to grapple with the radical, refining nature of his mission. As we gather today, may we hear his call to wake up, to see the signs, and to respond to him with open hearts.
