Welcome to Lugarno Peakhurst Uniting Church online service on Sunday 29 September 2024. This is the nineteenth Sunday in the Season of Pentecost. The reading from Chapter 5 focusses on two aspects; prayer and faith and encourages a believer, who seeks either physical or spiritual healing, to call on the leaders of the church to pray for them. This can also involve anointing with oil. More often than not the community of believers (the body of Church members) will also get involved, not only in the initial prayer meeting, but also by committing to pray for the person over the coming days and weeks following the initial request.
