Welcome to Lugarno Peakhurst Uniting Church online service on Sunday 19th of September 2021. Today we continue to study the book of James. In the text today, James 3:13-4:10, James warns that a lot of our problems rise in our ambitions and strivings. It’s not wrong to do our best, but we mess up when we obsess about it. However, if we humble ourselves in genuine repentance, God promises to forgive us and exalt us with Christ. This is the gospel according to James. James states the gospel his own way, a way deeply influenced by the teachings of Jesus.
