Luke 12:32-40 / Ready and Willing
This week’s message encourages us to live lives rooted in trust, generosity, and readiness. Jesus tells us not to fear, because our Father delights in giving us the Kingdom. In response, we’re called to hold our possessions loosely, give generously, and be ever-ready to serve.
Rather than promoting recklessness, Jesus invites us to a mindset of faith-filled stewardship – working, producing, and using our resources to bless others. Our wealth isn’t an end in itself, but a tool for Kingdom work.
Two brief parables remind us to live expectantly, like servants waiting for their master. The timing of Christ’s return is unknown, but our readiness should be constant. That means living generously, watching for opportunities to serve, and keeping our hearts fixed on Jesus – who shows up in the needs of those around us.
We are stewards of what we’ve been given, not owners. When our treasure is in heaven, our hearts will be there too. IL-WOONG.
