2 Kings 5:1-14, Luke 10:1-11, 16-20 / Ordinary Faith, Extraordinary Grace
This Sunday’s message explores how God’s power and grace often move through unexpected people and simple acts of faith. In 2 Kings 5, Naaman, a powerful commander, is healed not by prestige or dramatic miracles, but by following a humble instruction from a prophet – prompted by a nameless servant girl. Similarly, in Luke 10, Jesus sends out ordinary disciples without resources, simply to share peace and God’s love, even amid rejection.
The message challenges all believers to recognise that evangelism isn’t reserved for the “qualified” or “official”, but is a call for all Christians. In a world where spiritual hunger is growing – even among those outside the church – our faith shared through everyday kindness, listening, and small risks can make a lasting impact.
Witnessing isn’t about having the right words – it’s about showing up with empathy, humility, and care. God works through our willingness, not our perfection. We’re called to bear burdens, listen with our hearts, and reflect God’s love in the everyday. IL-WOONG.
Our Mission is to
Connect with people in Jesus;
Build each other up in faith; and to
Become like Jesus.
