Isaiah 11:1-10” / Longing for Peace: Our Advent Prayer

This Sunday, the Second Sunday of Advent, we reflect on the theme of Peace.

Drawing from Isaiah 11:1–10, the message explores the rich biblical meaning of shalom – not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of wholeness, restoration, and harmony. Isaiah imagines a world transformed under the reign of the promised Messiah: a just and Spirit-filled ruler from the line of David, bringing healing, reconciliation, and a peace so deep that even natural enemies – wolf and lamb, lion and calf – live together in safety.

Isaiah’s vision points us to Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, who restores what is broken and brings humanity back into the right relationship with God. As we journey through Advent, we are invited to ask: Do we experience Christ’s peace in our lives? Are we ready to welcome the One who brings true peace, justice, and harmony?  IL-WOONG.

Our Mission is to

Connect with people in Jesus;

Build each other up in faith; and to

Become like Jesus.
