Psalm 139:1-18, God Knows All About You.
The Psalmist says in the text that God knows everything and there is nothing He does not know. It is part of God’s nature to know all things. King David was very much aware of how personally and completely God knew him (Psalm 139:1-6). God knows deeds, thoughts and words fully; God knows all things, could be easily perceived as threatening but the Psalmist describes “such knowledge is too wonderful.” Showing that ‘to be fully known’ is to be completely vulnerable but on the whole, the psalmist certainly celebrates as good news that his or her life is accessible to God in every way and at every moment.
In fact, God knows everything about us can be either good news or bad news. It can be bad news if we try to hide from Him like Adam and Eve tried to do because of what they had done. It would have worked, except for the fact that our all-knowing God knew where they were. On the other hand, it can be good news that because He knows everything about us, He takes care of us, providing all our needs even before we ask him. The good news about our Lord Jesus Christ is not only that He knows all things, but that He accepts us and loves us as we are, in spite of all that He knows about us. IL-WOONG.
