Malo E Lelei! Welcome to worship today at Lugarno Peakhurst Uniting Church on this Sunday 28th September 2025. Whether you’ve been coming for a long time or it’s your first time, we’re so glad you’re here!
We’re diving into a theme that really hits home: “Content in a World That Wants More,” drawn from 1 Timothy 6:6-19. In a time when we’re constantly pushed to chase after more – more wealth, more success, more power – the Word of God reminds us that true gain is found in God.
Paul urges us to fight the good fight of faith, to take hold of the eternal life we’ve been called to, and to be generous and faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us. Rather than placing our hope in possessions or status, we are invited to place our trust fully in God: the one who richly provides for our needs.
As we come together to worship, may we be reminded that we are already deeply loved, already richly blessed, and already called to live lives of purpose, generosity, and faith.
May this time of worship refresh our spirits and refocus our hearts on what truly matters. Susi.
