Matthew 24:36-44, Romans 13:11-14

Advent: A Time to Wake, Watch, and Witness

As we enter the season of Advent, this week’s message turns our hearts toward the future – not only to celebrate Christ’s birth, but to prepare for His return. Drawing on Matthew 24:36–44 and Romans 13:11–14, we are reminded that Jesus will come again at a time we do not expect. Just as in the days of Noah, we are called to remain watchful and ready, living in faith and not in fear.

The Apostle Paul urges us to “wake from our slumber” and “put on the armour of light,” casting aside distractions and living as people transformed by Christ. Through powerful analogies and a touching story of unexpected grace, we see that God often works in quiet, miraculous ways – just as He did through Mary, and just as He does in our own lives.

This Advent, let us stay awake, live in the light, and prepare not only for Christmas, but for the return of our Savior. Today is God’s time – a time to love, serve, and shine with hope in a waiting world.  IL-WOONG.

Our Mission is to

Connect with people in Jesus;

Build each other up in faith; and to

Become like Jesus.
