Welcome to this gathering at Lugarno Peakhurst Uniting church on Sunday 26th June 2022. In today’s gospel reading, the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus is challenged by an expert in the law to interpret what one must do to have eternal life – life in God’s kingdom (Luke 10:25), and then who our neighbour is (Luke 10:29). The focus of today’s gospel reading is on what “kind of people we are to be, as we live on the lookout for those in need of help.”
